"Twilight Dirge" - (Davis and Lucy try and get off of Earth and away from White Star, but their father is killed in the attempt. He gives Davis a chip. Davis negotiates with a mysterious passenger who books a ride on the Whisper. / Davis talks to Mallory about the long-range sensor shielding, and then Lucy interrupts to ask about their passenger. Riley calls Davis to the bridge and tells him they found some White Star salvage and he's going for it. Davis goes to get him back, but Caleb has detected them. After a narrow escape, Caleb reports his findings to Jonathan Ackerman. Davis, Auron, Riley, and Lucy try and figure out who they can sell the salvage to, and go to Quarren. Auron tries to talk to their passenger, and tells her of their delay. The passenger nods and understands. While Davis and Riley make the sale to Quarren, they are caught by Caleb. Back at the ship, Auron, Lucy, and Mallory find themselves pinned down and in trouble. The passenger quickly defeats all of the soldiers and Auron sees her face. Riley tries something, but is beaten down just before the Whisper comes into the sky and gets Caleb to back off. Sayenne and Auron sit down and decide they need to talk. Jonathan Ackerman asks for an explanation, and Caleb reports what one of the soldiers managed to record before their defeat. A Varish Master is alive.) (1)

 

"Connoisseur" - (Alyssa talks to Davis and Lucy about her cargo and how it's meant to make it's way to Hartree in two days. / Sayenne and Auron catch up with each other in his cabin, and he asks why she's here. Caleb hires some raiders to attack the Whisper and kill Sayenne, anything they take is theirs. Alyssa and Riley get into a fight while he mishandles her ingredients, and she complains to Davis. Lucy learns that Mallory has her own history with Sayenne while flying the ship, and they are attacked by Raiders who board them. Auron is injured by the raiders, and Riley pushes Alyssa out of the way as she is nearly shot. The leader of the raiders sabotages the controls and then they pull Sayenne out of the way. Auron's last minute action saves Sayenne as the raiders pull out. Lucy and Mallory use the shuttle's thrusters to push the ship out of the way of the plasma storm, and the two relax. Alyssa thanks Davis for getting her supplies to their destination, with only a few containers ruined. Caleb kills the leader of the raiders for failing by ricocheting a plasma pulse off a mirror.) "Twisted Coyle" - (Davis talks to Sayenne about her staying on permanent with the crew, and she comments for now their goals are compatible. Davis comments on how he's got a map to treasure, and Lucy introduces Kate as their new ship's cook. Davis is surprised. / Lucy sets the ship on autopilot and joins the others for dinner. Reactions are mixed. Kate expresses interest in Davis, and the two of them share a private night. Mallory and Auron talk about dinner that night, and Mallory notices a slight imbalance in the engines. Davis, Lucy, Riley, and Sayenne recover the treasure and head back to the ship. Kate talks to Mallory and knocks her unconscious, sealing her in the engine room. The others return with the treasure, and Kate gets it from Davis and tries to run into the shuttle. Auron pops out from the back of the shuttle and tells her she's grounded. She manages to knock him out and escape the ship, but the treasure is left behind. The ship takes off, and Lucy hears banging from the engine room door.) (3)

 

"Silhouettes" - (Sayenne complains on how she's using her powers to move and inventory cargo when she should be resurrecting the Varish order. Mallory is watching, but leaves unnoticed. A black life form appears on the ceiling, but vanishes quickly. / Riley records a message to his wife, Susanna, and then proceeds to take a shower. Surprised by one of the life forms, he runs through the kitchen naked. Immediately after he recovers he tries to convince Auron. Mallory and Lucy work on shuttle maintenance when they see one of the life forms. Mallory impales it with a tool. The crew looks at it while they try and figure out what they are. Riley manages to shoot one, and the crew takes up weapons to defend the ship. Sayenne uses her powers to keep more of the life forms out and Davis blows the air lock. Auron tells Davis that he doesn't think it's over, and that he believes Sayenne knows what they are, and probably Mallory too.) (4)

 

"Rules Of The Game" - (Sayenne talks to Mallory about using her powers, and Mallory refuses to try to relearn her other abilities. / Davis sends the shuttle on a mission to get parts from a local trader, and selects the two of them. Mallory protests, but is overruled. Davis and Riley get out to pick up their cargo, but the quartermaster claims they don't have the right permits. Sayenne tries to convince Mallory further about the need to recover her powers, but Mallory continues to refuse. They land and get the parts they need from the supply master, but are being observed by something. Lucy listens to Davis's complaints over the comm and tells him to keep trying. Auron comments on how amusing it is. Sayenne and Mallory are attacked by shadows, and Sayenne uses her powers. Mallory fights them the hard way. After they have a heart to heart, they catch up with the others. Davis and Riley continue to argue with the quartermaster to no avail.) (5)

 

“Wanted“ – (Auron tells Riley where they’re landing, and Riley is evasive about being somewhere else. Davis, Lucy, and Mallory get out and see Riley’s face on the wanted monitor. Lucy comments “Son of a bitch!”. / SO Warren Avery and Loren Perez greet them and warns them their cargo is slightly delayed as the ASV Shrike hasn’t arrived yet. The group asks Riley to explain, and he tells them about the time he stole 1,000,000,000 credits from the Silex Corp, and Lucy can’t believe it. Riley explains he had to jettison the money. SO Warren Avery asks for a complete roster of the crew to ensure security clearance, and Davis gives him an edited version. SO Loren Perez then enters and tells him there was one more life form on the ship when they landed. Sayenne and Mallory are checking in the cargo when she passively picks up a big movement going on and comments her spider sense is tingling. Warren Avery and his officers begin pulling the ship apart trying to find him, but after they find nothing, Warren leaves Davis with a warning. After they take off, Lucy asks how they hid him, and Sayenne explains she shielded their view. She then reminds Riley he owes her.) (7)

 

“Bane“ – (Davis takes a first look at the data chip in his cabin from his father, but he is interrupted by Lucy with a distress call from their mother Sarah. The chip falls behind his bed. / The ship lands, and the crew gets out at the station, meeting with Sarah. The life form kills one of the workers, and the asteroid shield goes down. Mallory immediately begins work on it, and locks the door. Riley, Davis, and Sayenne go hunting for the life forms, and end up engaging several of the fast animals in a fight. Auron treats some of the workers and monitors several of the animals breaking in, warning Mallory. Riley, Davis, and Sayenne find the mother creature and eliminate it, whilst Lucy, Mallory, and Auron hold the younger ones off. Sarah thanks them and in appreciation gives them a supply of fuel, food, and valuable ores. Sarah tells Lucy about her work involving movable mining habitats.) (8)

 

“Shenandoah“ – (While making a trade for the ore, a pirate ship tries to rob it from them. They are rescued by Dakota Serra and company, who offer to help if they cut them in on the deal. / Riley complains as it will lower his cut, but Lucy points out they could afford to make some friends. Jonathan Ackerman asks if Caleb has found the ship yet, and Caleb confirms they have. Dakota invites Davis on board for a private dinner, and Taylor and Kessler make some lewd comments about the two of them. Caleb sets some explosives in an asteroid field, and as they pass through it the two ships have to keep up with each other. Mallory pulls out the remnants of one of the explosives, and Taylor agrees someone is trying to stop them. When Caleb makes a second attempt to stop them, Dakota is able to blast them out with her ships weapons. They sell the ore to a client, and the two ships part ways amicably.) (9)

 

“Scrapbook“ – (Davis shows off the used ship to Lucy, and introduces her to Mallory as he tries to convince her this could work for them as a career. Mallory floats a tool. / Davis asks Mallory if she’d be able to get the information off the chip, and she offers to try. He looks for it but he can’t find it. He flashes back to their first mission, when they meet Riley who claims to be a doctor. Davis asks Lucy and Sayenne if either if them had found the chip, but they haven’t found them. He flashes back to their attack when Lucy had been wounded, and Davis ordered Riley to treat her. He shoves him against the wall when he can’t, and then Auron appears offering to help. Davis reaches down, and the chip falls beneath the vent into the engineering section. He flashes back to his offer to Auron to join the crew, and Auron lists his conditions. Davis tells Lucy he’s got to find that chip, and she tells him he can always look elsewhere for his father.) (10)

 

“Once Bitten, Twice Shy“ – (Davis and Lucy are talking in a bar about how they need to find a job, and Kate Coyle appears and offers them one. They aim their guns at her. / She lowers their weapons and tells them she can get them into the big Silex score Riley dumped. She then explains how to the whole gang, though Riley is doubtful and Auron does not trust her. Mallory and Lucy explain their innovations to the plan, and a course is set. Kate asks Davis if he still holds her betrayal of him against her, and he fakes forgiving her, but then shuts her down. Sayenne sends out passive psychic interference while Davis and Kate disable the security systems and erase the sensor records at the monitoring station. Lucy pilots the ship in to pick up the credits while Auron, Sayenne, and Mallory recover the boxes. The crew reunites and escapes, but not before dodging a few shots from a Silex patrol ship. Davis and Riley tie Kate up for the rest of the trip back, and she protests it isn’t necessary. Sayenne tells Riley he might consider using his share to repay the Homesteaders for his betrayal.) “Truthful Consequences“ – (Mallory and Riley are sent on a mission in the shuttle, and Mallory badly hides her distaste for the idea. / Sayenne asks Auron if he thinks she’s trying too hard with Mallory to get her to relearn her powers, and Auron gives his advice. Mallory and Riley pick up the payload and bring it aboard the shuttle, and then as they leave the system the shuttle’s engines overload. Lucy comments on her concern that Mallory and Riley aren’t back yet, and he scans the area, though he thinks she’s overreacting. Mallory tries to repair the shuttle, but with little success. She and Riley start talking about his wife and brother, and Mallory about her history with Sayenne. Davis, Lucy, Auron, and Sayenne pick up a remote distress signal from the shuttle and home in on it, pulling it onto the docking latches on top of the ship. Mallory confronts Riley when repairing the shuttle about when the Alliance showed up at Paquin’s base, and he admits it. She then tells him she didn’t read his mind, and Sayenne didn’t tell her anything.) (12)

 

“That Old Gang Of Mine“ – (After feeling a freeze out from his friends, Riley is approached by Victor, who offers him a spot on his crew. / Davis and Auron question his certainty on his choice, while Mallory is more than happy to help him pack. Victor, Keith, and Evelyn talk about old times, and Victor asks him about the Silex score. He is dismayed when he hears his former crew has it. Lucy tells Davis things should flow smoother without Riley, and they’ll have to hire a new muscle on the ship. Victor tells Riley they’re going to raid the Whisper, and asks Riley about his loyalty. Evelyn comes to sleep with Riley, but he turns her down. She comments on how he really has changed, and asks about his ice cube of a wife. Victor threatens Davis with a raid, and Riley states he may not want to do that, holding up a critical component of the ship. He is picked up by the Whisper, and they leave the part floating in space. Davis then tells him that he can have his old room back, and he’s still in the doghouse until the karma balances out.) (13)
